Douglas Wignall is a commercial solicitor, with Cubism Law who specialises in the hospitality industry. His niche is drafting and negotiating international hotel management and franchise agreements. He acts mainly for companies involved in the development/conversion of hotels and is familiar with the template management agreements of most of the principal international hotel operators. He has also acted for smaller boutique hotel operators in the drafting of their template management agreements.

 

Other work includes hotel leases, hotel franchise agreements and advising on all aspects of hotel operational matters. Douglas has also had experience in resort developments including agreements relating to the management, branding and marketing of resort villas and apartments and timeshare and leaseback arrangements.
